Description
Yardley has designed the MULTI-SERT for fast easy press-in installation. This insert answers many repair type situations, as well as, providing permanent threads in Aluminum, soft metals, plastics and fiberglass. The through threaded steel insert is intended for applications where constant usage causes threads in soft materials to break down. The knurled body locks tightly in the host material and its thick wall design prevents thread distortion during insertion. It also is ideal for applications where the insert is swaged to metal tubing. The MULTI-SERT is zinc plated to prevent oxidation.
Yardley MULTI-SERT Inserts are a direct replacement for discontinued Southco® Series 71 and 72 Inserts. The MULTI-SERT replaces Southco part numbers: 71-20-030-13, 71-1-132-13, 71-1-132-13, 71-1-232-13, 71-1-324-13, 71-1-332-13, 71-1-520-13, 71-1-618-13, 71-1-618-13, 72-1-440-13, 72-1-632-13, 72-1-832-13.
